The title is in reference to the Tupac and Scarface song that released shortly after the former’s death. While it has no real relation to them or their careers, it is the context of this particular phrase that will be spoken of.

We are destined to experience turbulent times despite our best efforts and one of two things will result. Either we cower from our fears or insecurities and shut ourselves off from future experiences because of past mishaps.

Or maybe we embrace each tough encounter as an equal and a friend. We must understand that obstacles are placed in front of us with the sole purpose of being overcome.

For each obstacle we conquer we add another layer of tough skin to our exterior. We become stronger, more aptly suited to persevere through our pursuit of happiness. These struggles in which we fight to overcome define us and lay the groundwork for our future. Why not ensure that we pave a positive future through the actions we take during our struggles?

How do we maintain our attitudes and our composure through the bullshit? We must remember what lies ahead and all of the many benefits that accompany success. Most importantly we need to keep our sense of humor intact.

Being able to look at troubling times with an embraceful smile and a laugh seperates winners from losers. Those who can laugh and shake off tough times are more likely to persevere during than those who become scared and disheartened. Remember that you are guaranteed to face tough times during your life but not guaranteed that you will endure. It is only through a positive outlook that you will prosper.

This bullshit we talk about is exactly that, bullshit. I say such because bullshit is the sort of thing that slows us down. Stepping in the shit causes us to be cautious and stuck inside our comfort zone. Being overcome by the bullshit and slave to our comfort zone are the sort of things that will enduce failure.

Remember to laugh and shake it off as no struggle is too great to overcome. Understanding this will give us clairvoyance on how to overcome our struggles each and every time. This isn’t some new fangled idea. Laughter has its many benefits on our being. Check out this article by the Huffington Post, Laughter, The Surprising to Surviving Tough Times.

“Humor can make a serious difference. In the workplace, at home, in all areas of life – looking for a reason to laugh is necessary. A sense of humor helps us to get through the dull times, cope with the difficult times, enjoy the good times and manage the scary times.” – Steve Goodier
